Marathon Training

Running tourism…

I only managed 1 run in Scotland, which is a shame as the weather was gorgeous and the views along the River Tay were stunning.

I completed 5k, which felt hard work and my legs felt heavy. I knew I hadn’t fuelled well after my 20 miler on Friday, and the 7 hours sat in the car on Sunday also didn’t help! I may not have run much, but I have swum, stretched and foam rolled lots, so I’m hoping my legs will start to feel better on tomorrow’s run.

I love that running allows me to explore new places. Which places have you discovered through running?

An average runner that has found a passion for running and raising money/awareness for MNDA. I have completed London, New York, and Chicago marathons. I am tempted to go for the Six-Star finishers medal, running all the World Marathon Majors, but that's a dream in progress.

I love running on holiday! Fresh scenery gives everything a different slant. My favourite holiday for running was a two week summer road trip through the Alps which provided me with the opportunity to run in 6 different countries – including the streets of Monaco. Here’s what happened, along with some tips for running on holiday: https://runningdanw.wordpress.com/2013/07/09/run-in-the-sun-top-tips-for-holiday-running/
