Three Things Friday #FridayFinds #9

So it looks as though my Friday Finds have become bi-weekly now – Sorry! Last week I was busy getting packed for Endure 24 (A race recap is on its way, but a sneaky preview – It was EPIC!)

  1. This first blog post that I am sharing, I actually found last week. But the message has stuck with me, and it is all so positive and true. Take a read and see what you think. I love the message Liz sends out through her blog and her honest, often humorous take on things.

Have you got the GUTS?

2. Another inspirational runner to follow on twitter and read her blog, is Alice Carter. I met Alice last year at the #Extramile training that we took part in (Read about it here) Alice ran Manchester Marathon this year, and is about to start marathon training again, preparing for Berlin Marathon (I would love, love, LOVE to do Berlin!) Follow her on her journey to Berlin.

  1.  If you can’t wait to read my write-up from Endure 24, here is one to get you started. 🙂

Happy Friday everyone!

3 Fabulous #Fridayfinds from this week #6

So this week, I have decided to share 3 running/fitness blogs that I follow.

The Runner Beans

I have been following Charlie for many years. I love following all her marathon journeys, and most recently she has been doing Vlogs too. If you are not following her, I would sign up now for inspiring posts.

Mind Over Matter

This is a very honest account of a lady keeping very active and fit. The blog is more than just running, but I lookScreen Shot 2016-05-12 at 21.11.27 forward to each and every post, knowing that it will always be brutally honest and frank. Go and follow, and you will find yourself smiling and nodding in agreement with many of the posts!

A Healthier Moo

I can always relate to Mary’s blog, as she also teaches, so reading how she fits in her running with the long hours of the job is interesting to me. She has just announced her pregnancy too, so if you are interested in fitness during pregnancy, this would be a great time to sign up to her blog.

These are just 3 blogs that I like. I follow many more, so I am sure I will be sharing more soon. I love reading blogs, maybe I’m nosey, but seeing what others do and get up to inspires me.

So, please feel free to add links below to your own blogs or blogs that you follow.

My Fabulous #Fridayfinds from this week #5

The Runners Wall

At the London Expo, I decided to buy myself another medal hanger. The Runners Wall were offering a really good discount, and I have bought from them before, so I purchased the Small London Medal Hanger and I’m so glad I did. My three medals from London are proudly on show in my entrance hall now and I love it. If you have worked hard to gain bling, proudly show it off!

Yoga Studio App

I DO NOT do enough stretching. FACT. When I have taken time out to run, I sometimes find it hard to use more time stretching, but this app is great as it has lots of different collections, some as short as 15 minutes, going up to 1 hour long workout. I think I had to pay a small fee for it, I can’t really remember, but if you do, I think it’s worth it.

Nike Training App

I am actually irritating myself writing this, as I think this app is awesome, yet I don’t use it anywhere near as much as I should. The app contains SO many different workouts, there has to be one to suit you. There are videos if you are not sure what to do, and encouragement during the workout. Most can be completed with or without equipment. I’m pretty sure this one was free too.

So there are my 3 for this week, hope you find them useful. As always let me know what you think, share the post if you think others will like it and let me know if you have found anything on the internet, apps etc that can be beneficial to runners. Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine if you get some 😉

If you are enjoying Fridayfinds, why not head to the top left of this page and subscribe so you never miss one, and you’ll also get all my other posts delivered straight to your inbox too.

My Fabulous #Fridayfinds from this week #4

Strength Training for marathon runners

I say it every year, but IF I run another marathon, I am definitely completing a strength programme before I start the programme and keeping it up during the training cycle! So I am  putting this on this week, so I can look back and use it! (Obviously this is just incase I run another marathon – I so hope my husband isn’t reading this!)

Susie Chan

If you are not already following this lady, go do it now on Twitter, Instagram and her website. The woman is awesome. She set a world record this year on the treadmill, she runs marathons for fun and she also conquered the MdS. She posts great pictures of herself running, always smiling and it motivates you to go out yourself!

RunBling

If you have accomplished something, why not have something made to celebrate (Click here). After my first marathon, I had this key ring made.

Some people have a tattoo to celebrate, but I’m not that brave, so I think I am going to be purchasing another piece of Bling with my new PB time and this years motto “Tomorrow I will have no regrets.”
