Win a Proviz REFLECT360 running Jacket

If you follow me on instagram (rularuns) you will be well aware that I got a Proviz RFELECT360 jacket for Christmas.

When I was driving to run club before christmas, I spotted a runner wearing one, and I loved it. There was no way the traffic was not going to see this jacket.

They cost £84.99 to buy.

So for the technical information, taken from the Proviz website:

The Material

Using millions of tiny, highly reflective glass beads the REFLECT360 range’s appearance is almost ghostly in a driver’s headlights! The light reflects back off the material to help you be more clearly seen on the roads at night.

Lock Zip

Helps to ensure the zip does not slide down when you are out on your run.

The Lining

Inside there is a soft mesh lining to further aid comfort and breathability during your run.

Zip Garage

A zip garage helps to ensure there is no nasty neck chafing when your jacket is fully zipped up on those colder days.

Now you have read how wonderful the jacket is, I know you now want to know how you can win it: Hit the follow button on this blog, and that will give you one entry. Like this post, and that will give you another entry. Follow me on twitter @rula10, and RT the tweet that promotes this competition, and finally you can donate to my fundraising page here, and for every 50p donated you will receive another entry (please write the word PROVIZ in the comment to be entered). The winner will be able to pick whether they want the mens or women jacket and the size needed. (Sorry but this competition is only open for people with a uk delivery address)

The random name generator will take place on Sunday 20th March. Good luck to all that enter.

Win a pair of eGloves

Technology plays a big part in running now for some. I am totally addicted to stats and technology, and I am ashamed to admit, but I certainly feel if my run isn’t on Garmin then it didn’t happen! I like taking photos on my run, controlling my music, and using my Garmin, but hate the hassle of removing my gloves to work them all.

I have been lucky to have a pair of eGlove donated to me, to use as a prize for a lucky reader. The eGlove SPORT enables you to accurately operate touch screen devices such as your Smartphone or other touch screen device without removing your gloves.

Here is the technical information taken from the eGlove website:

Conductive fingertip technology on both thumbs and forefingers for use with GPS and Smartphone applications
Individually sized to maximise accuracy of touch screen devices
Robust double stitching to create maximum strength in the fabric
Silicon deigned palm and finger detail to reduce losing grip on the device
Terry toweling fabric strip on reverse of palm and thumb to remove moisture
Double turned wrist fabric to create additional warmth
Machine wash 40o – tumble dry on low heat or allow to dry naturally!

If you would like to be in with a chance to win a pair of eGlove, all you have to do is donate to my Virgin Money Giving page here. For every 50p donated, I will add your name to a random name generator. So, if you donate £1, your name will be on the list twice, donate £5, then your name will feature 10 times. All the money will go to raising vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. If you are new to the blog, and want to find out why I raise money for MNDA, have a read here and here.

When you donate the money, make sure you put the words eGlove and your contact email address. I will announce the winner on Sunday 13th March via twitter (@rularuns) and then email the winner. They will then be able to choose which glove design they would like (any glove up to the value of £30) and size.

Good luck to all that enter, and please feel free to share 😉

So this happened……

Every year, when I get rejected from the London Marathon ballot, I enter every competition going. Again, this years rejection got me on the case again. I had mixed emotions when I got my rejection email (yes, email, not even a magazine!) this year. Gutted that I wouldn’t be taking part again, but also knowing that I have been very lucky to take part in the last two, so I shouldn’t be too disappointed. I booked Manchester marathon as I knew a few people who were doing this and life carried on. Then on my twitter feed, I found thisIMG_7752

So I retweeted it, and then forgot about it really. I’ve entered so many before and never won, why would this be different. So, can you imagine my excitement when I received the above DM!!

London Marathon 2016 sounds so good. Last year was such a disaster for me, and I am really looking forward to getting stuck in to training and hopefully doing this year justice. Even though I have been MIA, the blog looks like its back again as I document my journey to VMLM2016 🙂

And the winner is…..

So, firstly, let me apologise for being late! I was so tired after the Brighton half, and slightly depressed at having to go back to work, that this is the first time I have had any time to sort out the draw!

I am pleased to announce that the winner of the Nuun package is Stacey Marston.

The Nuun package won by Stacey

I have another competition coming very soon, so please keep checking back. Hope everyone’s training is going well. If you would like to donate any money to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, please click here.
